Zoom: The Blue Sapphire of the Mind Book Study
With Laura Swan, OSB
February 5 - 26, 2021
Early Christian monastics recognized the penetrating presence of the Divine in creation, that place where we encounter our deepest selves. The call to care for the environment is deeply human and contemplative. This retreat is based on the work of Douglas Christie. Participants are encouraged to as least begin reading Christie’s The Blue Sapphire of the Mind before participating. This will be a hybrid presentation and book discussion gathering. Public libraries have copies, participants can also purchase from their favorite independent bookstore, or on audible at Audible.com. Sister Laura will provide a booklet to assist you on reflecting on the book.
